I hear about these crazy things, and know for sure my sister-in-law Shelley is always up to tag along. This was definitely better than the Trick or Treating thing we tried at South Towne Expo, but not by a lot:) Kind of cool to see the live animals, but it was freezing!
Got super lucky at my office white elephant exchange and ended up with this beauty. It was super creepy and weird, so I was so excited I got it. Ashley and Keith were the lucky recipients of this re-gifted prize. Hope you enjoyed it!
We were all gifted with some beautiful things this year for sure, but one of my favorite gifts was this super soft blanket Amanda's mom {Janet} made for Mack. It is the warmest, yummiest blanket ever. I thought we would leave it downstairs for us all to wrap up in, but Mack insisted it stay in his room on his bed. Too bad :( Janet is just so super generous and kind--so happy to know the Gundersons!
Richard had some really fun Christmas trivia games this year that we used at several parties. He would seriously make the best game show host ever. He is an expert at pacing and getting people excited. Joey also did a darling Nativity play with costumes for everyone. Mack and Sam were shepards (thanks to my camera for dying again!!!) and Ian was a wise man that doubled as a Middle Eastern terrorist {I promise to post this picture once I get it--it is PRICELESS! } Thanks for all the fun Richard!
I only go out with Shane once a year on a ride along--New Year's Eve. This year didn't fail to impress. This is a picture of a "sleep deprived" driver that ran into a driving school. The call was super funny when it came across the radio. Probably would have had to be there to fully appreciate the irony. Another good call was two people fighting barefoot outside a Sonic at 11:30 at night in 15 degree weather, and also the brain injured guy that ended up terrorizing some neighbors when he walked down the street to watch their fireworks. It was further proof that Shane's job is pretty secure. It is really fun watching Shane work. He kind of turns into a different person. So in charge and authoritative. Interesting too watching other people interact with him. I guess you don't mess with the police.
Thanks to all of our friends and family for the darling gifts, the fun memories and the delicious food. Love you all:)
