My last pay it forward! Whitney, I hope you didn't think I forgot about you:} K, so I have so many fun memories of you. Our first meeting the week you got married when I transferred up to Materials Management was the first. You seemed so cool. So sophisticated. So fun. Loved our gossiping about Susan and the myriad of love triangles that were playing out in our department. I remember too when we came to see your first house. It was my DREAM after that to get a house right in that area--and we did! And then our fun dinner at Joe's Grill a few months ago. So fun talking over organic burgers and just catching up. So glad our friendship has continued, albeit mostly electronically. Miss you:}
So, I have made you what I call a Last Minute Holiday Packaging Kit. I LOVE putting together a great gift. I think the way something is presented can totally make or break the whole vibe of the gift. So, these are my fAVoRIte ways to package last minute quick gifts you still want to have a little special flair. First are some cute little labels I made in Photoshop--just for you! I love the little vintagey Christmas girls. So cute. Simply cut out and punch two small holes at the top to thread the ribbon through. Next are cellophane bags. An absolute must have. I probably package like 99% of gifts in these. I love the see through fun. Put a bit of the bag shred in, use the American Crafts marker (fine point if you want to write a little note, medium point to quickly add their name and then yours). Follow up with some fabulous ribbon, and a can of hot chocolate or Bath and Body Works soap is instantly transformed into amazing.
Also throwing in a Tonya's workout CD as you were so patient:} Send me your address through Facebook Inbox & I will get your kit to you.
Love ya Whitney! Happy Holidays!

A Week in Review
Highlights this week...
I went to the job fair at BYU Idaho I go to every October. This little trip always reminds me of my birthday--I tend to go the week before. With budgets being tight at work, and our candidate pools high, there really wasn't a reason for someone else from work to go. I asked Shane if he would drive up with me, and he agreed. Loved our little road trip. We stayed at the fabulous Blue Heron Inn, and actually stopped to look at the falls in Idaho Falls. All the changing colors really got me in the mood for fall and winter to begin.
Shane had to leave for a K-9 competition the day we got back from Idaho in Las Vegas, and I flew down that weekend to join him. It was my birthday, so we splurged and went to see Le Reve at the Wynn. I love the Cirque du Soleil shows in Las Vegas. Pure art. We had a great time.

There's an app for that
Realized I am celebrating my year anniversary of my iPhone. The road to get it was long and fraught with guilt and obsession. It was so ridiculously expensive, I just couldn't quite get to the point I could justify it's purchase when they first came out. So I waited. And dealt with my horribly crappy low end Verizon phone. A year went by. And then the hinge broke and I just couldn't take it one more day. I went to the Apple store and felt like I was signing my life away for the take your breath away monthly plan and $300 phone. Then, strangely, when my first bill was due, it felt like nothing to pay it. It was so sleek, perfect and happy. My favorite purchase and bill I now owned. Every month the bill comes up is a reflection in how much I love my phone & how it puts a little happy spark in everyday.
One downside is that there are a billion and one applications you can download. Who has time to sort through them? No one.
TweetDeck/Facebook
I don't think I would be quite into the social networking storm if it wasn't for an easy, quick look on my phone to find out what is happening with my 150 closest friends:} I find I really don't get on Facebook or Twitter much on an actual computer.
PhoneFlicks
LOVE ordering Netflix right from my phone
Kindle
A mini Kindle on my phone. My Kindle and iPhone sync when I go back and forth between them. Sigh. Technology. Rocks.
and rounding out the list....
Pandora, The Scriptures (soooo amazing--highlighting, updates for each conference session, love it!), Shazam, and then the photo ones because the iPhone camera leaves much to be desired--ColorSplash, Fx, Mill Colour
I love these apps, but I still feel like I must be missing out. So, i call upon the internet.
If you have an iPhone, or iTouch, what apps do you love?
